Okay. It amuses me to have a friend of mine sign me up not only for a great Chinese lunch on Sunday, but ALSO sign me up for a Chinese genomics study, where that particular clinic is collecting 4 teaspoons of blood from people with Chinese parents and grandparents in order to do some studies of genetic diseases in the Chinese gene pool. The real kicker is that the clinic will pay people $50 for the sample!

For those that don't know, a lot of Chinese medicine traditions equate blood to health and strength. So with many traditional Chinese, it's nigh impossible to get blood donations and even more impossible to get any Chinese to sign up for bone marrow donations. So this is pretty interesting.

I wonder how well they're doing with it?
