It's less the sedation and more the reaction to being sedated -- needle phobias, really having issues with gas... (Kid has been sedated at least 3 times off the top of my head, fully, and once where it was discovered that the "make you groggy" stuff just totally removes all conscious control of emotional reactions, which was not fun for anyone. >_> )
