There are points where it does feel a bit like a man writing what he thinks a woman would think or feel, but it really just helped me remember that the width of possibilities within a gender are vast. Some might argue that no woman would be as focussed as Vivian, but I know my own past... and remember those days when nothing mattered but the work.

And I did my best to pass as mostly a man at work anyway.
