The American health system is really messed up, in so many ways, but I guess insurance companies have decided that actually nagging their clients saves them some money. Especially with respect to preventative care... so they want us to be healthy. It's different. I have a friend in South Africa, where the government gives you extras when you do preventative care, like walking every day, your steps count toward "prizes" there, so he knows some friends who put their fitbits into the dryer every day rather than go walk... and still get their "steps" in. *laughs* That seems strange to me...
