Feel free to tell the story of the timing (new house due April 1, kid due April 14), if it will amuse them, too! O:> It's nice to know one's not alone. Going from the NICU environment at Dartmouth-Hitchcock to the "only kid in the nursery" feel... Well, I got to talk to the nurses a lot, but I swear, I wanted to scream at some of the other parents sometimes, about how they got to take their kids home so quickly and there I was in the nursery and no telling when that was going to change. "Don't expect to take the child home before the due date" and all.
