Gold and red and hotness --

Roy's Imperial Gold really is Da Bomb, innit? Mind you, I have on occasion screwed it up; but when it's right, it's seriously right.

Funny thing about temperature -- [livejournal.com profile] lisajulie discovered that the next grade down (I think they call it "Superior Yunnan Black") gives its best flavor at 200°, which makes me wonder whether the Imperial stuff and the Adagio stuff might also do just fine there, given perhaps a bit more time. A clear call for further experimentation.

Meanwhile, the one tea seedling that is still alive from my original group of three, now almost 5 years old and a whopping 6 or 7 inches tall, appears to be making a couple of flower buds. So go figure.
