It's a first try. I'll get better. There's two other ink paintings now up on flickr, as a few folks asked to see things in comments. Click on the picture and it should take you to the other picture of pictures. *laughter*

I'm just starting!! So I'm not very good, yet, but I have to learn and people seemed interested in my poor beginning paintings, so I thought I'd go ahead and put up photos of 'em.

Oh, I really like those! The lobster thing is probably the best technically, but I really like the peony - it may not be an accurate representation, but as an abstract floral form it's really cool (especially from a little distance, as it appears in the smaller version of the picture). I could see that looking really nice painted on a shirt or skirt or bag.

*beam* I'm glad you like the peony! I need to work on the feeling for the stem and leaves a bit more, even abstracts have to invoke the right feel... *grin*

The lobster thing is actually not that good, technically, either. *grin* But it was fun, too.

*hugs* for the encouragement! I really appreciate it.

I like the peony, too, actually. I'm sure you'll get better quickly as you get some practice in. :)

Also, after viewing the flickr stream, I really need to know more about the upside down tomato plant. Is that a specific type of tomato, or simply one that's been placed to grow that way?

Yay! more practice!

The hanging tomato is any kind of tomato, just put it in the tomato hanger, and it'll work. I planted two plants of "Sugar Sweetie" in mine. I got mine at Gardener's. link to the Topsy Turvey planters (http://www.gardeners.com/Topsy-Turvy-Vegetable-Planter/default/StandardCatalog.PotsPlanters_HangingPlanters.36-450.cpd). They're running a special if you get two, and I may get two more. The cherry tomatoes did great in 'em.

I wonder if it would stop the deer from raiding them. We tried tomato plants ne year in a little plot by the porch, but they were all eaten by deer.
