hey, i read this book- or rather, i started to. i got about halfway through before i couldn't handle dealing with the female protagonist anymore. she was just too helpless, or something, if i remember correctly. i might be remembering poorly, though. i liked the male protagonist a lot though. and i agree with you about the relationship there- the love doesn't feel earned or deep. i just... couldn't stick with it. but i'm super impatient with my books- if they don't absolutely grab me and make me fall in love within the first few chapters, i likely drop them and find another.
