I've been tempted to delete mine due to the amount of people from my senior school finding me.
Someone else I know deleted their old account and signed up under a false name so that only the people who he wanted to find him could. (As he found without it he wasn't getting updates from Uni friends about planned outings etc).

There's actually a way to get all my LJ postings to show up there, and I'm halfway thinking of NOT using it just so I can have my 'privacy' here, even if this is full blown public as well... *laughs*
I gave a bunch of suggested connections, but I spent a lot of time going 'hm, does she know this person?' :) Some of them I sent on because it took forever for me to find them. :)
There is, btw, a group called 'I know Leon'. It amuses me.

Heh. I'm not exactly sure I see the point either, but John loves using it to keep uptodate with people he already knows. So... I can kind of see that. Especially with all the neighborhood moms on it, he knows when someone has a problem we can help with.
Just the other day, one of the dads got appendicitis, so we took the kids for the afternoon. It was useful.
Sheesh, don't let Facebook have your LJ stuff. Facebook's terms and conditions are... odd to say the least. It's like you're agreeing that everything you post there suddenly becomes their property.
