Oh this is wonderful and I love it. Heh, Tempou is quite different from Hakkai in many things, and what goes for 'enough' respect is definitely one of them. Byakuya has to have been quite surprised. This is well written and works very well. I love the characters and how Hakkai and Tempou differ and are yet alike and even merge.
And oh god, KANAAN. That find is utter love, seriously.
I'll love to read more of this and it would see awesome to see even more than just one extra part come of this if Tempou decides to stay and join his forces. So many interesting people to meet, fantastic places to go...
(Tempou and Ukitake, now there's an interesting idea. I think he's one of the very few who could humble Tempou by the single fact that he doesn't try to humble him at all. Not that Tempou will admit it of course...)
And of course, where Tempou is, Kenren goes. He'll find a way to follow his soulmate if it kills him :P
