Drabble: Warmth

Fandom/Characters: Bleach, Byakuya and Renji
Prompt: Cozy and warmth. It's winter outside :)
As per my winter drabbles post.



Renji always thought the Kuchiki Estate was fucking frigid.

The traditional paper walls held nothing, and Japanese heating systems wasn't meant for comfort. So, when Byakuya came down with a winter cold, Renji worried. The next morning, Renji made his way up to the Estate, lugging a modern heater.

The look the Captain gave Renji was as cold as his room. "What do you think you are doing?"

"You'll see."

When the space heater glowed, Renji grinned as Byakuya relaxed, sniffling under his quilts.

"See ya?"

"Aye. Tomorrow."

Knowing that was all the thanks he would get, Renji left, warmed.

Byakuya will still sneer, of course, but his upper lip will be that touch less frigid/rigid. :)
