Well, to be honest, you left a perfectly good and reasonably safe on-the-ground to get into the airplane, so it could be said that you were simply coming to your senses, but then again you did it with premeditation.

Then again, "perfectly good airplane" in this situation may well mean that it was the right kind of airplane to jump out of. It would be much more difficult to D.B.Cooper nowadays, but the point is, that he jumped out of a perfectly bad airplane for that purpose.

So what's the appropriate neo-cliche? The family that plummets together ________________________ ...
