Jyuushiro sat quietly in the midst of Zaraki's intense reiatsu, not having as hard a time breathing as he'd thought he might. Together, they sat on a bench, watching Yachiru and Lilyenette chasing each other through a play structure that was too small for the two girls. They made do, scrambling and sometimes leaping ten feet out to catch each other and then lean on the other giggling even more.

"The things those two have seen..." Jyuushiro murmured.

Zaraki rumbled, "Aye, and still able to live in and be in just the moment."

Both shook their heads in wonder, "Kids."

I love it so much! <3 I wish I could draw - I'd instantly start sketching the initial scene ^^ I'd love to see more Zaraki fics (especially in slash fiction) - I know some good ones, but they're usually more or less crackish. I like seeing more serious side of Kenpachi - and this moment when he and Ukitake are sitting and watching kids together is precious! *hugs Liralen*

He's more into slashing people ^^''' And I hadn't thought about any slash pairing with Zaraki before I've invented Zaraki/Hanatarou => http://destinycross3.republika.pl/temp/hanazara.jpg. Then again, I love slash pairings :D

Nice. People often forget that for all intents and purposes, Zaraki Kenpachi is a single father. And I think that Ukitake would be one of the few to recognize that fact.

Also, it's kind of ironic that a friend of mine requested some Ukitake, Stark, and Shunsui pieces for her b-day, and I was considering something along the lines of this one and the companion piece.
