First menstrual period in two entire years. I was grinding my teeth, so hard, the three days before that my bottom molar is now grumpy at me. I had a zit the size of Long Island. I couldn't sleep. I am now, officially, a wrecking ball of hormonal unhappiness that has finally come to rest amid the shattered remains of the preternatural existence I had for eight seasons.

Back on the merry-go-round to join that minority of humanity that has a monthly ritual of the blood and the life. *giggles* Oh, right. My first communion for about...uhm... five years was last Sunday, too. Hm. I'd never gotten that connection before.

Hee! Yeah. Though I haven't read, yet, where vampires need blood once a month... but that would make an interesting parallel. I like that...

Hoooo yeah! I agree. It's a very cool thing. And given how much more work a baby is it was really nice not to have to worry about the mechanics of it all for so long.
