Mountain Adventures

On Friday morning, the three of us packed up and loaded up into the Eurovan and headed a little south and a good bit West to Winter Park, Colorado. It was just a one-night trip John had planned for a bit to go up and enjoy the show now that we weren't snowed in by it down here in the Front Range.

On Friday morning, the three of us packed up and loaded up into the Eurovan and headed a little south and a good bit West to Winter Park, Colorado. It was just a one-night trip John had planned for a bit to go up and enjoy the show now that we weren't snowed in by it down here in the Front Range.

Part of the view from the top of Fraser Hill. It's towards town and cuts out nearly three-quarters of the hill as I was more interested in the train than the hill, but I only realized after downloading my pictures that this is the only picture I have of a shot straight up or down the hill that isn't a video.

View down the tube lift on the "right" side of the hill, when looking down. You can see the metal handle that they loop the leash handle from each of the tubes onto. Very low-tech, efficient setup.

I have two rather funny videos of us riding down the hill, one with rather a LOT more sky than the other. I might have to resort to YouTube if I want folks to see it, I guess.
