Scary Monsters Must Die
May. 6th, 2004 01:13 pmThis morning, while I was making my breakfast and Jet was semi-avoiding eating his breakfast of toast and jam, he started making crash bang sounds... and the running commentary went something like this...
"Rar! He scaring people! Monster must die! Ksh ksh!! He wants to die, so scare people. Heroman come kill him! Scary monsters have to die. Rar!" Much crashing and bashing sounds.
I interrupt, "Poor monster. Why does he have to die?"
Jet replies promptly, "He wants to die. That's why he scare people. Scary monsters have to be killed."
Aiee. Scary three-year-old, already getting the concept of ulterior motives?

And it's so true with Jet it's nearly breathtaking.
Tonight he said, "I *like* hitting scary things." And it just amazes me how confident he is about that.
