Woohoo!

-17° F (-27° C) last night!

The biodiesel in the Passat finally jelled. Poor John was trying to get our dinner last night and it coughed and choked and only when he stopped and let the heat of the engine melt the incoming gel did it go another few feet. He nursed it home and then took the Eurovan the rest of the way.

Cold enough to freeze the fuel? Man oh man, and I was feeling like it was a bit chilly up here because I had to break out my jacket, instead of a sweater.

And here it's felt chilly because we've had frost a couple nights. :)

Well, the highs here should be up near 50 by Sunday, though, which is very much unlike there. There once winter sets in it stays. Here, we get a week or so of 0 and sub-0 weather and the solar climate gets it warm again as soon as the cloud cover is gone.

But it's kind of fun having it be SOOooo cold for a bit and getting to wear the down, rabbit fur, and wool. Jet was very happily bundled up this morning, he love that.

*giggles*

I'm working on a 'cunning plan' that should have us back likely in 2007 or 2008. We'll have to see if it comes to fruition, though.
