Ah, this is lovely! I haven't read a Kyouraku/Ukitake fic in ages, and this was wonderful to break the fast with! I love how the fic, while always keeping the two main characters in focus, brought in so many others giving quick sketches of them at work and at play, all these little gems scattered throughout. The one about the combined weight of the Ran-Ori bosoms comes particularly to mind! And mentioned below, the military organization-- how experienced a shinigami is Shunsui is in his decisions and how everyone scrambles with such familiar discipline-- like Renji commenting on the situation and then going off-- haste with no panic.
