Minor Miracle

John got a humidifier to replace the one that had been on our heater. The old one was completely gunked up, not just the filter, but the whole interior of the thing was crud ridden and nasty. So John got a new one from Sears and installed it in the afternoon.

We also figured out that Jet's humidifier, in his room, was fucked in automatic mode, the damned humidity sensor was reading 50%+ all the time, but the minute we turned the fan on in the thing, it went down to 37%. An external humidity check yielded a 23% reading, so the sensor is just not working. Ever since we put that humidifier in Jet's room, he's been having real problems sleeping.

We basically took it off automatic mode, and simply forced it to be on all the time last night.

So, for the first time in a good week, Jet slept. He slept from 9:30 PM to 6 am without a drink off me, and then went back to sleep until 8:15 am, and was probably the happiest kid in existence when he finally got up. He actually got enough sleep, didn't have a bloody nose this morning, and was as content as I've ever seen him.

I didn't have the headache behind my nose, I didn't have any bloody nose this morning, and I also felt like my eyes hadn't been sandpapered during the night.
