Wow. I've now found a concentrated version of my midnight vice.

Saturday was garage sales for Jet's wardrobe in the morning, the Erie Town Fair in WAY too much sunshine in the afternoon, and an evening of stocking up at the grocery store. Today was the annual meeting at church, during which I mostly chased Jet around, an afternoon of trying to fill in entries for MARCH for gosh sake for the other journal, and an evening of

Normal 9" pie crust, pre-baked for 10 minutes at 425
set oven to 325
1/3 lb cheddar cheese, grated (by Jet who used *every* bit of the box grater and then started stuffing some of it in a nearby drawer, so it started at 1/2 lb of cheese...)
1/3 lb smoked salmon, crumbled a bit
1 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1 onion, chopped and sauteed until golden brown in 1 Tbs canola oil
layer the above in the pie shell, I put the cheese on top of everything else so it would melt and crust.
mix in a bowl
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
5 grates of nutmeg
1/2 tsp dill weed
pepper to taste
pour over filling and bake around 30 minutes until golden brown and crusty on top. Take out and cool for one cartoon and then slice and serve. For us, it serves four adults. Jet won't eat it, and it'll feed us for two meals, easy.

Jet has a lousy night last night. But he's really tired today and the weather's gone cool again, after being 80 on Saturday. I hope he sleeps well.

The Miller moths are back. The dust buster works very well on them, and Jet's good at pointing them out and yelling, "Bugger! Bugger!" which still cracks me up every time he says it. He's equally good, now, at pointing out video game problems, and will yell at me when there are hot things, cold thing, and bears. He will now even dance with Crash when we get a jewel. Hee. Okay, so John and I dance with him, too. It's fun!
