We specifically upgraded our hot water heater for this last year; if you have a good large hot one, it can make hot water almost as fast as you use it.
So now I trickle hot water in while I'm taking baths, to keep the temperature right. :)
I like Flit's answer! It's close to what I used to do.
But my reason for not being able to take an hour-long bath has nothing to do with the technical realities of a bath. It has a lot more to do with being away from Jet for an hour, which implies that someone has to be watching him for the whole hour, and having an hour to myself is such a rare event that I don't think I'd spend it all in a bath. Being able to think and write is hard with continuous interruptions, and I do spend a lot of my time alone writing things.
