I spent most of the day working in our office. Mom and Dad took Jet off for shopping and lunch and brought him home asleep, so I had some lunch then.
With the snow, we decided not to do the Rec. Center. So Mom and I made the steamed rolls for dinner. They're filled with chopped garlic chives, glass noodles, scrambled egg, pork marinated with a little soy, wine, and sesame oil, powdered dried shrimp, spinach, and reconsituted shitaki mushrooms. The shell is made of the partially-cooked dough, just flour mixed with near-boiling water.
It takes a lot of work, but with the two of us, we split it up pretty well. That was fun and delicious. Jet was really enthusiastic about eating it until we set a portion right in front of him. Then he asked for rice. Luckily, we had quite a lot of rice in the fridge, still, so we gave him rice and he added his own sauce and sprinkle and we all ate together.
Yay!
