Mar. 2nd, 2003 02:02 pmThe memorial service for Liam was yesterday morning, and we went, and I cried a whole lot more than I "wanted to", there is still a bit of me that's ashamed of crying in public, but so it is. It was a service designed to let people mourn, and mourn people did. It's unusual for me to be encouraged, in so many ways, to show emotions.
Jet and John got up in front of everyone and said their piece and John gained a great deal of peace from it. I'm glad.
Those who mourn will be comforted. There were, easily, three hundred people in the church, including family, and they all extended their support, comfort, sympathy, and their own mourning to the family. It was pretty awesome.
It was overwhelming, too. But now that it's done, it's a little easier to let go and just go on with living.
