Okay... Barnyard is not high art, but it was a lot of fun. Especially "Wild Mike". The music was fun, too.

We went after dinner, last night, on a whim and brought along the neighbors, and we all had a blast. Mikayla and Jet planned on how to do "Show and Tell" together to tell about the movie. *grin* That was very cute.

Dinner was just "find something and eat it", so it included ripe tomatoes, peaches, and bread from the Farmer's Market. I need to make some good, savory bread puddings from the last of the loaf, it would be very good with goat cheese, chipotle-roasted chicken, roasted tomatoes, and basil from the garden.

The tomatoes are "coming in" and there are now dozens on the kitchen counter. I need to just cut 'em in half and slow roast 'em with garlic, thyme, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Then I could freeze 'em and just eat 'em in sandwiches, quiches, pizzas, etc. Tasty...

I spent a lot of time spinning and plying, and scared myself a little by getting a perfectly smooth Navajo ply (3-ply) yarn that was finer and far denser than my 2-ply yarn from my first experiments. It would be a great sock yarn, but I have it slotted for a shawl already.
