Jet in his New Sweater
Aug. 7th, 2008 11:00 pmJet now has a new sweater.
I made Jet a sweater. He picked the yarn, it's kind of a camo thingy in Paton's Classic Merino Wool, and then I very loosely used the Hooded Sweater pattern by Lion Brand yarn.
It's as skinny as the 4 year old sizes, but longer than the 6-8 sizes as Jet was... well... longer in both body and arms. The hood's a little snug, but he likes it that way. Just in time for him going back to school, but I don't anticipate the temperatures coming down enough for him to use it for a while. Luckily it's a little long all over, but... I'm not sure it's going to last the year.
He really likes it and finds the wool very soft. I have probably an extra three balls of yarn... which might be enough for a whole other sweater... as Jet was just way too skinny for the size that was supposed to be his.
There's some things I think I can do with it and it is fairly nice yarn.
