The other day, when he was seated between Mom and Dad, he told them, "My other granny gran'pa in the phone!"

Some exclaimations from of us about that.

"Yeah. They in the phone. I want go play with them."
"In the phone?"

"Yeah. I go in the phone."

Last night, when da spouse's parents called him for his birthday, Iolanthe was trying to take the phone to show them the thermometer so they could see it wasn't as cold.

She's a clever child, but does persist in trying to show people things through the phone. Holding it out to the tv and such.

We need to get the computer vid-phone to more people, though it doesn't work reliably with dialup accounts, so that lets out... well, all the relatives.

Yeah... my parents are on dialup, though my sister's on something more high speed, that might be fun for her, too. I'll have to try that out sometime...
