As if it were news... but I'm weird.

This morning, on the way into work, we drove behind this shiny black truck with a one-man roller on a hydrolic lift, a jackhammer, and a rack with shovels, brooms, and rakes on it. There were painted words on it, in white, and when we stopped and could see it, it said, "Flameless Pothole Fixer".

And I immediately said, "Wow! I'd LOVE to be a pothole fixer! Can you imagine, getting to get out, clean up the area, and then fix the pothole and smooth it over with that roller?"

I think it would be so neat to be able to drive by a patch and say, "I fixed that!"

*grins* The El Camino Road Repair Company always makes me wonder, when I pass their trucks, if they have proprietary stretches of road. It would be neat to be able to say that between the 85 and Redwood City is my beat, and no motorist should have cause to complain about my blacktop.

Physical things of accomplishment one can point to are so satisfying, aren't they? :)
