Work has been great.

I'm super busy. I'm not frustrated at all. I always have something to do, and I always have a way to get my job done. I'm being given the opportunities to make a big difference in a lot of people's working lives and make them much better than they used to be. Sometimes it's been a bit stressful and a bit hard as some of it is stuff I've never done before. Sometimes it's made harder by the personalities involved. The great good thing, though, is that everything I've been asked to do at least builds off the stuff I've done before, be it software, hardware, specifications, gathering requirements, influencing people, or, it seems most importantly, just really listening.

It's pretty astonishing how much of my job, now, is just listening to people and making sure that they feel like they were heard.

I'm having to make tradeoffs, but I'm also being given the trust by the folks affected to do so. I just keep working to be worthy of that...

... and maybe that's what working really should be about, for me.
