Deep purple "green" beans turn green when you boil them.

Guess I won't do that again.

There's a bird that's developed a taste for lettuce in our backyard, and now all my grown lettuce is tattered and torn, even the seedlings are being eaten up at a tremendous rate. Dang.

We grew those last year. No matter how you cook 'em, they turn green. Even just a quick microwave steaming. It's kinda sad, but they're pretty yummy anyway.
