It's damned humbling to be working with my own spun wool singles that I know, now, that I'll never again recreate in my lifetime. They're so fine they're about the same thickness as a hair off my head, but strong enough to support being pulled off the bobbin and get plied or even getting loaded onto another bobbin. The plied yarn is so fine I can barely see if there's enough twist in it, and that with a 150 watt light...

It's nice to finally finished, though, and I have a completely full production bobbin, so it should end up being a significant amount of yardage for something very lacy. Now to save enough of my hands to be able to knit it. I hate getting old, but I guess the alternative is worse.

One good thing about waiting a few years to ply the singles... they didn't twist up on themselves at all.
