Yay! Glad you're doing well and that you can get all that time off! Neat. We'll be taking the week off between holidays and that just seems so relaxing...
Aside from work? Not too badly. With regards to work? Well, my boss wants me to essentially work a minor coding miracle in order to get a report out on time -- on time at least for a very artificial deadline -- and one for which we have had extentions for in the past. So not exactly happy, but not exactly ready to head for the top of a bell tower with a high-powered rifle.
Getting over a series of colds, so pretty good for all that. Severely sleep deprived but that's because of the spinning and knitting stuff, which I haven't done for so long that simply being able to do it is a joy. :-) So I have joy.
Plus, tonight, Jet's pre-school is doing a parents' night out, so John and I will get to just do something together! We haven't for a while, and it'll be nice.
Probably not going to Helmand, someone I know who was there recently suggested it's a death hitch, but it's the coolest possibility in the abstract. =)
Having a bit of a cold today, but hopefully not as bad as a multiple-racking-coughs one my wife had. Wishing I had some cough drops, though. Putting off working on a project at work that I am beginning to really hate. Wishing I could be filling in more asteroid name origins on Wikipedia.
It's interesting, as interesting as work has gotten to be, for me, I still have days when I really would rather not be working. Nothing bad, per se, but it's still just work, not doing what I really want to be doing...
Let's see: broken hand is healed and out of cast; I've finally been put into a Full Time Position, so we can stop hemorrhaging money for insurance; and Yoko's finished with school, so she's an official paralegal. It's been an eventful few months.
