Jet and Lorakeets
Jet and Lorakeets

This is Jet feeding the lorakeets. He has a cup of nectar in his hand and they flew down to eat from it. This is at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. There was a professional photographer who was really happy to have Jet, in that sweater, as a target. Yes, I made him that sweater and, yes, that's John behind him. My sister took the picture while I was home sick. Bleh.

What amazed me was that nearly all the colors on the bird were the exact colors of the sweater. :-) Kathy said that the photographer was salivating. Hee.

Hey! Jet got OLDER since the last time I saw him. He isn't allowed to do that, is he?

The thing I love about this picture is that John's son is clearly taking after his dad in his fashion sense :) And I mean that in a good way, because I love the colors your husband can get away with wearing and look good. I'm never sure how he does it.

This is such a happy, colorful picture. Very welcome in the grey winter Seattle day.

Heh. Funny thing is that after seeing Jet in that sweater for about a month, John asked me to make HIM one, and I only had the kid-recipe to go with, so I did a lot of work getting the thing to work on John. They look Way Too Cute together in their knitted hoodies, together. :-) Of course, whenever John goes anywhere in his I can see people sheilding their eyes... one obviously mildly potted brewer squinted at John from behind the counter of the local micro-brewery and said, "Hey, man, I ain't never seen a tie-dyed sweater before..."

Hee.

Mmm... fashion sense. I'd have said, "Fashion deafness... or blindness or... something..."

I can just see someone trying to get John on "What Not to Wear" and having them never show the show as John just stares at them in disbelief.

wow

That is just about the most wonderfully incredible sweater I've ever seen, it's just fantastic. Maybe I will learn to knit. o.O

Also, thank you for the holiday card--I only just got it, after forwarding from my old address kicked in.
