"After the world was destroyed...

... and came back again and was fixed, there was a little monster walking on the road and she was hungry.

So I fed her. I fed her monster seeds, the little ones, as she was a little monster. You only feed the big monster seeds to BIG monsters, but she was little and hungry so I fed her little monster seeds and she was happy."

-- as part of a running story about the little girl monster all alone in the destroyed world by Jet.

He went on for about a good fifteen minutes while we walked to the theater to see Wallace and Gromet and the Case of the Were-rabbit. This was the part that I remembered. I should just record him storying sometime, with the camera, just to catch all the real words out of his mouth.

That's awesome! I love hearing Nathan telling stories, too. I'm just amazed at the imagination, especially since he's got such a limited range of vocabulary and reference. Hehe

I think that the thing that most amazed me was that the little monster was a "she" and Jet was most consistant about using that pronoun with her. Mostly because, for the longest time, everything was "he" and he made the change to using both pronouns a while ago. But I'd never heard him deliberately using the female pronoun for one of the main characters of one of his stories, before.

Yay Jet Stories! :-)

Jet stories are much goodness. Even the grumpy-mad don't-wanna Jet stories - although the happy-smart Jet stories are much betterer.

You really should.

If only to show to his teenage crushes.

What? So they can get a crush on him?

It is the duty of every parent of a teenager to embarrass said teenager by recollecting the cute, adorable, and charming things they did as children to the persons they are most desirous of impressing romantically.

In so doing, if the object of their admiration turns out to despise such things, it's good to know up front because it will prevent things from going further awry, as they just won't fit.
If they find it suitably cute and adorable, then it will encourage the relationship.

Me, too. I try to encourage it and listen intently when he starts telling a story and ask questions so he can think more about the world and the characters and stuff, so we'll see.

That's just too cute. Definitely record him. You can use it to embarrass him later when he's married and has kids of his own.
