Last Day of Work For the Holidays

Today was interesting and weird and quiet and good in many ways.

I had meetings all day, though one of the big ones, a two hour one was cancelled in the morning, so I was actually able to get a few things done. John was home, as he'd worked Monday to do a big presentation, and took today as makeup for that.

When I got home in the evening, we had a leftover dinner, and I just happily collapsed. Then John got the great idea of dropping in on Bob and Mei to give them some gifts, so we went over there! It was great. Andrew and Jamie were there, too, we hadn't seen Jamie for years, and it was great to just catch up for a while. Jet and Andrew ran all over the house, playing hide and seek. Hee. Bob and Mei enjoyed our little presents a lot, and Bob couldn't stop laughing at the little Spanish Inquision doll that John had got him.

We had tea, a bit of dessert there, and some of Andrew's friends showed up, so we eventually headed out the door. It was good to see them, and spend some time. They're coming for Christmas and I'm really looking forward to it.

It was a little bit of a struggle to get work stuff out of my head for sleeping, but I finally did it. Whew.
