I think "Boogler" may be one of those inherently funny words, like spleen*.
Burglary? Not so funny. Booglary? Funny.
:-D
*I mean, say you're gonna eat someone's heart, and you're a cannabalistic creep. Say you're gonna eat their liver, and they ask you if you want some fava beans and a mis-pronounced chianti. Say you're gonna eat their spleen, and it's funny. Kick someone in the crotch? Not so funny. Kick them in the spleen? Makin' with the funny... violent, but funny.
Back in day... WAY back in the day. When I was in college, Kent and I were both sysadmins for the OSU DEC-20 system, and we were all posting in a.c.c, there was a girl I dated for a few months.
Not the brightest bulb. Was one of those "bounce" relationships - those poorly-considered short-lived couplings after the end of a long term relationship.
We found, the gang and I, that if you looked at her with serious expession on your face and said "giggle" in your most deadpan voice... she would.
Somewhere out there, I think Kent still has the writeup for the "Power Word: Giggle" spell for AD&D.
