Tencel Merino in Peacock Colorway
Sep. 12th, 2006 09:19 amThis is a three-ply, Navajo ply of the peacock colorway from Chasing Rainbows, the sheen is from the fact this is a 50-50 blend of tencel and merino wool and it feels as silky as it looks. Mmm... It's a bit subdued for my usual palatte, but hey, it's beautiful.
I just finished it the other night and liked getting the pictures of it. I just joined the community
yarnporn and so I'm trying to get better pictures of my yarn. *grin* There's a bunch there at the moment and up on flickr.

I've tried spinning with a drop spindle but the resulting yarn has been QUITE lumpy. My friend Ellie, who gave me the drop spindle, says I didn't card my wool properly. Apparently two hair brushes aren't ideal.
