Jet ate salad last night for dinner. Lettuce leaves with ranch dressing and croutons. School had introduced him to the delight of "Ranch dressing", so he was willing to do that for dinner last night.

I was very impressed.

He's also been happily plowing through half a box of Cuties (clementine oranges) a week, too, now that they're out for Thanksgiving and Christmas. So the boy is doing very well on fruit and veg. He still won't touch identifiable meat, but is happy to eat Pepperoni, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, and the like, but Thanksgiving Turkey was Right Out. He pretty much dined on the Pillsbury Crescent Rolls he and I made together.

But the door is now open to vegetables, prepared in a very particular way, but veg nonetheless. Yay!

Yay on fruit and veggies!

N is still uninterested in meat, too. He managed to taste a little Thanksgiving turkey, but beyond that it was yuck city. His favorite was the homemade cranberry sauce, which was really like cranberry jelly so what's not to like? :) He dipped his potatoes and broccoli in the sauce and declared it good.

*giggles* That's a great way to eat potatoes and broccoli. I love it.

Correction: N does have some interest in meat.

If it's breaded in small portions - fish sticks, chicken fingers/nuggets - he'll eat it.

Sometimes, if he's puckish, he'll eat part of a hot dog. The other day he ate part of a corn dog (back to breaded meat)

He loves bacon, but who among the carnivores doesn't? Ham is still a variable (we refer to it as "thick bacon").

Sushi-grade tuna, he loves. Plain tuna roll (tuna, rice, seaweed wrapper), Tuna nigiri, or just pieces of tuna sashimi. Yum.

Ah, true. Jet will eat bacon and corn dogs, too. :-)

I have tried the tuna on Jet, but he hasn't taken to it, yet. But he did eat two orders of tobiko, the flying fish roe.
