Some Books Are To Be Gulped Down Whole

I just read all thirteen books of Sorcerer Hunters. It was... cheesy fun. *grin* Lots of S&M paraphernalia, but little bite (only one scene that was actually bad in the whole thirteen books) and no sex, just a kind of teenage fascination with the image rather than any substance. Wikipedia has a pretty thorough description of the series, as well as the tv series and OVA.

I liked it. There were bits that were annoying, much of the comic relief didn't work at all for me. But there was some interesting character development, and the plot was made fascinating by nearly everyone of any focus in the story being related to each other. Hee. Sibling heck. Made me think a bit.

Sorceror Hunters, like, Bakaretsu Hunters? Wow, someone else has heard of this?

Bakaretsu Hunters was my re-introduction to the world of anime/manga, some few years ago. If you want to borrow the anime, I could send it to you - I have both fansubs and the professional ones on videotape. The story is similar, though not the same.

I got to be Gateau in the cosplays. :)
