It does! So NO flash!! *grin* It also depends on how much light is outside the tanks and what is being reflected, or not, off the glass itself. You can sometimes put your body in the right place to cut off the reflections if you're wearing something dark, but not if you're wearing something light.
So, with no flash, and it's darker than anything in most tanks, it's really necessary to do the 'action shot' setup so that you get a clear shot. If you look at the full size of the picture, it's really grainy because of that, though. It's kind of a trade-off.
