Well... kinda, when I don't starve the boys. Our household has a tradition, on Friday mornings we almost always bake cinnamon rolls for breakfast. I usually set up the dough the night before and let it rise in the fridge and John usually does the baking when he gets up. I'm glad he's a morning person and I don't have to be. But last night, I found the roll of beignet dough in the freezer, so I pulled it out and stuck it in the refrigerator. So this morning we had beignets instead of cinnamon rolls. *grin*

But I was slow getting up. And Jet came and said he was STARVING, so could I come cook them? So I did and Jet helped by watching from very far away from the hot oil. They turned out really well, so the recipe does really freeze well, too. Yay and yummy. I make half the recipe as written and then just use half the next morning and freeze the other half... so for the three of us a quarter of the recipe makes plenty.

New Orleans' donuts... basically, they're squares of dough that are deep fried and then buried in powdered sugar.

They're best with chicory coffee and your best hangover cure while sitting on the patio outside the Cafe Du Monde, before the day gets so hot that you have to go in and take a nap so you can be up all night for Mardi Gras... *grin* Though every night on Bourbon Street is soaked in booze and jazz and smoky bars... even now while it's still recovering.

But.. they're tasty anywhere.

I'm going back in April. To rebuild a few houses, have a little BBQ, eat a little etouffee, spend a lot of money, and do Bourbon Street and get good and drunk and spend at least one late morning, early afternoon doing *exactly* that.

Around the ball of the foot.
Length from end of toe to end of heel
Around your ankle
How far up from your ankle you want the sock. Shorter is likely faster for me.

Alright soooo if I measured right around the ball of my foot is 9 3/4 inches

length from end of toe to end of heel is 9 1/2

around my ankle is 9 3/4 inches....

OMG my foot sounds like a squaure LOL

if any of these measurements sound off let me know I might have measured all werid or something also it doesnt have to go far up from my ankle you decide on the height I am easy like sunday morning
