John asked back, "Why do you think all cars should be electric?"

"Because then they wouldn't be polluting all the time."

At least, that's what our minx was pondering at one point. She, too, wants electric cars.

Well, first off, I want to point out how *awesome* it is that you've managed to instill a sense of ecological awareness in your kids at such a young age. Congratulations on that. That exchange is, indeed, priceless...

The sad part is how the pollution caused by creating the batteries for hybrid cars actually pollutes more than the gas it saves... I can only imagine how much worse a fully-electric car would be. :( I'm holding out for algae-based biodiesel or, hopefully, some sort of hydrogen-cell vehicle. The former sounds much more likely in the near future.
