Going through the color scans of the Bleach manga, chapter 172 when they face Yamamoto, and Ukitake's eyes are palest green. Just like the color of frothed matcha.

Me, too. *laughter* I've been writing them as brown for so long it was startling to realize that in the source material they're actually green. Wow.

Yep! a character from a manga might have a eye colour change, and it differs from the Anime!!! Like Gin! (Manga-Pale Blue, Anime-Blood Red)

Aha! So that's where all the green-eyed japanese fanart Ukitakes comes from. Weird because the first time we see Ukitake his eyes are brown, and they're definitely brown in the anime.
