First Tooth

Jet's losing his first tooth and it's been a real hoot for us and for him. Neither John nor I remember our first lost tooth, at all, and so we told Jet that. So we thought up maybe taking a picture of it and I offered, "Well, I could put it in my journal." And he got all enthusiastic. "Yeah, Mom! Put it in your journal!!"

*laughter* So I must put the picture of Jet's tooth in my journal. So here:





On the health note, I rode another seven miles today, and felt good about it, better when the flow test was significantly higher after it than before. Only problem with this is that one of my meds now reacts badly to anything aspirin or aspirin-related. So only acetaminophen when I'm sore. Not too bad a thing, all in all, but I just have to remember that, now.

Heeheeheee! SO cute! Teeth are a big event for the youth, they feels so much pride about losing them.

BTW, you know that acetaminophen is not an analgesic, right? It won't actually help with any swelling issues. Also you CANNOT drink any alcohol if you use it.

Just offering that warning, you probably already know. I have a phobia of the stuff myself after a neighbor's daughter killed herself with it. She had the flu and kept taking it. What they don't advertise strongly enough is that it is very destructive to the liver and there is nothing that can be done about an overdose. Make sure to keep it away from the kids. :/

Yeah, it's a really big deal for him, and kind of fun watching him really take a lot of pride in growing a bit more. Wow.

Thank you, very much, for the warnings!!! I needed that as I had no idea. I'm not a drinker, mostly... but hadn't even realized.

I usually stay off those things, anyway, when I can, I still don't *like* taking meds if I don't absolutely have to. I knew about the 'not an analgesic', but not the rest. So I am thankful for your warning.

I wonder if Jet will be a lose-one-at-a-time kind of guy or a lose-a-few-at-once kind of guy. I only ever lost one at a time so I never had decent holes in my mouth, just a few years of feeling kind of lopsided as I ate. But one of my friends, who is 6 and a half now, lost his top two front teeth at the same time as his bottom two front teeth. It was amazing! He had the biggest gap in his mouth I had ever seen.

He says that five teeth are "loose", but I think that's a fairly loose interpretation. *laughter* We'll see... as the one has taken a while, and I was a one at a time kinda gal. *grin*
