New Things
Jun. 3rd, 2008 11:30 amJet has a new saying when things get rough. "Oh dear," he says.
Then John started saying, "Oh dear, the driver sheep forgets to steer." It's from Sheep in a Jeep, a board book that we've read since Jet was like 2. So now ALL of us are saying the whole thing and giggling like mad whenever video games, card games, whatever goes bad.
We're packing like mad today. Tomorrow we leave on vacation. So I'll probably see folks on the other side of that. I might post from there and read a little, but probably not keep up the way I usually do. Just so folks know.

Date: 2008-06-03 06:32 pm (UTC)We used to sing "What can the matter be?" back to people who said "Oh Dear!" in my family.
Your post was right next to this one from Ellen Kushner in my friends list in which she invites anyone in a mediocre to bad mood to say "brindled weiner dog" out loud to cheer up.
Nice juxtaposition!
