I went with a group out for japanese food on Saturday night. I took a candy from the bowl on my way out, and it tasted like a butter popcorn jelly belly, except it was a hard candy. I found it bizarre.
Butter popcorn and cotton candy are actually my two favorite jelly belly flavors. I think it's because I have a major sweet tooth, and they are very sweet flavors.
It is my theory that jelly beans should taste like colours (red, blue, green, orange, purple, etc.) or fruits. Jelly beans that taste like coffee, popcorn, beef wellington, or other strangeness... they're unnatural!
Exactly!! Just like the sweets in the Harry Potter books... Bertie Bott's Every-Flavour Beans, with things like crank case oil, dust, and other unmentionables...
