So an unexpected side effect of playing a lot of Monty Python Fluxx is that Jet is starting to quote Monty Python without ever having seen a minute of the movies or the shows. It's really funny having him sing the Spam song in the bathroom... and now he's asking all kinds of questions about Arthurian legend, but then popping up with things like, "Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government!"

*headdesks*

Just think, you could have gotten Zombie Fluxx and he could be quoting from THAT!

"Brains, Brains, the magical chew..."

He was too scared of the Rabbit with the Big Sharp Nasty Teeth because it had blood on it.

I don't think the Zombie Fluxx would have gone over nearly as well. *grins*

But now I'm thinking of getting the standard game... hmmm.... our deck is getting very well worn already.

DUDE!!!!

That's all I have to say. I want to raise my kids on Python too (the bf isn't too into the idea, though).

Teacher: "What is the airspeed velocity of an unlaiden swallow?"
Jet: "What do you mean, African or European swallow?"

(I had to resist asking this question to my prof in class when she asked us if we had any questions that she could try answering.)

My kids have heard a lot of the famous Monty Python stuff quoted by us, but only recently have started watching bits.

Last Christmas, I was asking Josh what his favorite color was. He said, "Pink!" I double-checked, because when school had started, he'd brought home an all-about me activity where he'd written that his favorite color was yellow. "Are you sure it's pink? Not yellow any more?" "I mean yellow....augh!"

We'll have to see how Monty Python fluxx goes. I think somebody's getting it for Christmas. :)

Woohoo!! Hee.

Very cool about someone getting it for Christmas.

And I love that Josh knows THAT quote. I just read it aloud to Jet and he fell over giggling. I think the best part about playing it is when John does quotes in the accents with the inflections, and Jet falls over giggling. Hee.
