Unmotivated this morning. John's off to work at work today. I'm at home with busy work that I should be doing, but I'm terribly unmotivated. Jet was up four times last night, and while he loved *playing* in his crib, he's still only sleeping in his old infant's car seat. He's getting so long he's overlapping the ends of it, but it seems like he's taken to the seat as a security bed at night, and loves hugging the side of it when he's sleeping on his side. Not something he can do in the crib. I'm entirely uncertain of how to get him used to his crib other than to lose a *lot* of sleep for a few nights. Ah well.

I have found that Cafe d'Oro makes great instant espresso. A spoonful of that, a spoonful of Dutched cocoa, and a spoonful of sugar with three-quarters a mug of boiling water and a quarter of a mug of low fat milk and it's a low-fat, instant mocha. *happy sigh*.

If he really likes hugging the side of his car seat while he's asleep maybe you should just try to get him a baby-body-pillow (or a huge teddy bear). Something he can hug that will support his weight and allow him to sleep comfily on his side?

He actually has a six foot long stuffed boa constrictor hand puppet (he got it for his birthday from his aunt who is well on her way to qualifying for 'fun eccentric aunt') that is pretty much a perfect baby body pillow. Jet loves cuddling it when he's awake (okay, I should get a picture of that, too *grin*), but he doesn't seem to like it when he's going to sleep. He pushes away teddy bears, his sock monkey, and any other stuffed toy when he's asleep. The infant seat's side is actually hard plastic, which might be part of the attraction, as he loves hugging John's or my forearm/upper arm, as he's going to sleep, too, and on both of us, they're pretty hard. Which, I guess, means that I should find something hard and pad around it...

Interesting thoughts! Thanks!

Maybe one of the grain filled pillows in the long, tube form. They've got the firmness to them, but have the soft covering. Plus, you can warm it slightly in the microwave and it is warm for him to snuggle up to....
