liralen: Finch Painting (tomato)
[personal profile] liralen
I got six big tomato plants into the ground with supports and cages (wild things those indeterminate tomatoes), three into Topsy Turvy hanging planters, and put in three zucchini hills. I pulled enough spinach for our fourth spinach salad in as many days, and managed to thin a little of the lettuce as well.

No Word Wars for me today. I'm... resting.

Wow, that's some serious gardening!

This weekend I put my carrots and cukes in, and pot some more herbs. I also have to figure out who will take all this rhubarb off my hands - if I don't cut soon, that plant is going to take over the garden!

My seeded basil is peeking up, so I think I'll have at least one success this year. ;)

I envy you your rhubarb. I have to go hunt some down so I can make my strawberry-rhubarb jam.

I feel like the only person on the planet who isn't crazy about rhubarb. I might have to grow more just to have enough to give away! *laugh*

I envy you your rhubarb, too... I wonder if it would survive in the mail? Probably not, but still... *laughs* A cutting with a plastic bag about the roots?

*giggle* You know I totally would if I thought it would survive the wait at customs. They might as well measure it in ice ages...

So true. Ah well. Luckily, I have a couple of friends here who grow rhubarb as well. I should really get a cutting from them. *laughs* *hugs*

Oooh, nice. I need to get out and get working in my garden.

From the sound of things, a rest is well-deserved.

Yum! Sounds like way too much weeding for my whimpy little hands, but you're made of much stronger stuff. :D

Oh good for you! It's been about 5 years since I grew any veggies. XD
