John and I are in the midst of magnetism experiments with Jet's class an in a lull, John asked the kids what they thought the smallest magnet might be. The kids said that iron shavings seemed to work, and on that order for a while when Jet popped up and said, "Two atoms."

John said, "Pretty close... one atom works, too."

But it was just really surprisingly cool that Jet intuitively went to the atomic level rather than just the visible level.

*beams happily*

It's so fun to watch him do this kinda stuff! Yeesh. And he figured one atom to be positive and one to be negative, and I can see *why* he got to that given his experience. Whew... *zoom*

I see a very good upbringing there. :)

And (she adds, having hit "Post" too fast) a very intelligent kid.
