I know it's bad when my corporate massage therapist (20 minute sessions every other week at work) touches an area on my body and goes "Ouch!"
And then advises me that I really ought to get some ice on it NOW, okay, maybe after my meeting, but it had better be soon...
Okay,
foomf, I've been warned. I'm backing quietly away from the knitting and going back to my mildly more frustrating, but infinitely more ergonomic keyboard. RSI-type problems may now be resolved, now that I'm well aware of them again.
Given that I've probably done more knitting in the last month than I've done in entire years, this is not too surprising. But I think I can back of to "just a little knitting" each evening and still stay healthy, now.

Date: 2006-03-17 02:49 am (UTC)I know it's not as much fun at all, but have you considered using a hand operated knitting loom to do some of this? I think you can get the same kinds of patterns if you're clever about it, and it would be about as fast, while doing less RSI.

I have considered a loom. It costs too much for me, in some ways... But if I could sell the counter-balanced loom in my basement, I might well have the money for it. So that would work out well. I haven't even used that loom, yet, so it's likely well past time I sold it for something I would actually use.
It's a great idea!
thanks!
